The main event of the Dolce & Gabbana’s four-day show, a womenswear Alta Moda Fashion Show took place in the southern Sicilian town of Agrigento on July 5, 2019. The Alta Moda was launched in Taormina back in 2012, then held in Palermo 5 years later in 2017. Agrigento’s Alta Moda is the third one for now.

The Alta Moda took place in one of the best-preserved ancient Greek temples – Temple of Concordia in the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento. Built around the 5^th century, Temple of Concordia has survived while other temples have not, is that beneath the hard rock on which the temple stands is a layer of clay that acts as a kind of natural shock absorber, protecting it from earthquake tremors.
