È un astrofisico italiano di stanza alla Nasa e associato all'Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica (Inaf), ora Francesco Tombesi, marchigiano, con il suo team di scienziati, si è conquistato la copertina della prestigiosa rivista Nature con il titolo "Growing in the wind", descrivendo la straordinaria storia di un buco nero supermassiccio al centro della galassia IrasS F11119 che, come una specie di 'Attila', sferza l'ambiente circostante con venti fino a un quarto della velocità della luce, smorzando la formazione stellare. Il tutto a 2,3 miliardi di anni luce da noi. E la scena ha un che di apocalittico.
