Scopa Opens in Former Pomodoro Space in the North End

A new Italian restaurant has made its debut in the North End, taking over the space where Pomodoro used to be. Scopa is now open, serving a range of Italian specialties and brick oven pizza, according to North End Waterfront.

The restaurant from Gennaro Riccio seats 22, as previously reported, and is situated just across the street from the famed Mike's Pastry. Scopa's chef is Marisa Iocco, who is serving a rustic-style menu including a wide range of starters, specialty pastas, and pizzas. The starters feature seafood options like braised octopus, seared scallops, and yellowtail tuna, as well as Venetian meatballs, fried dough called frittellle, and cheese and cured meat platters.
