Letizia Mattiacci is an owner of Alla Madonna del Piatto Cooking School near Assisi (Umbria) and cookbook author. "Use good quality ingredients in simple combinations. Embrace the rhythm of the seasons. Respect the balance of flavors and textures." Applying these principles to traditional, home-style Italian cooking, Letizia Mattiacci has developed her style of cooking, which is light, fresh and accessible to anyone who wishes to cook and eat like a true Italian.
6:30-6:45 pm Hands-on demonstration by Letizia on how to make fresh "stringozzi," a traditional pasta from Umbria.
6:45-7:15 pm Presentation of Letizia's popular cookbook "A Kitchen with a View: Stories, Recipes and Images from a Farmhouse Kitchen in the Hills of Umbria." Signed copies will be available for sale at $30.
