A new restaurant will open in downtown Warrenton next month. Denim and Pearls, featuring Italian and American food, whiskey and wine, will replace The New Bridge at 29 Main St. “The food will still be upscale, but the atmosphere will be more relaxed,” co-owner Thomas “T.C.” Robinson said in an interview Thursday. Mr. Robinson and Rick Marrero, both of whom live near Gainesville, decided to buy the business from former owner John Molière in early April.
“I am responsible for a $20-million business (Standard Communications), and the restaurant requires a full-time restaurateur,” Mr. Molière said. “I just didn’t have enough time to handle both businesses.” The new owners plan to invest $100,000 to $150,000 in remodeling. They will add seating around the basement bar and hope to expand to the rooftop dining area. The 150-seat, three-level restaurant will have a “country atmosphere” with cowhides on the seating and new chandeliers, according to the owners.
