The Food Network's Iron Chef America Judge Mario Rizzotti will be stopping by six Meijer stores across the Midwest in January to cook up authentic Italian dishes. Rizzotti's cooking demonstrations are part of a tour sponsored by the Italian Trade Agency. As part of the promotion, more than 400 authentic Italian products like artisan pasta, San Marzano tomatoes, wine and extra virgin olive oil will be in all 230 Meijer stores for a limited time.
The Italian culinary expert says he wants Americans to come more familiar with the availability of rare Italian products. "I've spent my career educating food lovers on how to tell authentic Italian products from the fake, so I'm thrilled to be part of Meijer's Italian Chef events," Rizzotti said in a statement.
