The owners of an Italian restaurant in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood plan to open a second location in downtown Champaign. Nando Milano Trattoria expects to open later this year at 202-204 N. Neil St., in the space vacated last year by Carrie's Fabulous to Funky.
The restaurant will be owned by Dario Vullo and his fiance, Amy Yetasook, who is serving a surgical residency at Carle. Dario's brother, Alessio Vullo, will be executive chef in Champaign, the role he currently fills at Wicker Park. The Vullos come from a family with several generations of restaurateurs.
