Dear Friends,
New York Italians in collaboration with Fordham University, Department of Modern Languages and Literatures and Italian Honor Society C.I.A.O. is very happy to invite you to:"Tech and the City".
Based on over 50 interviews with entrepreneurs, angel investors, venture capitalists, university professors, members of the Bloomberg administration and other stakeholders, this book is the first one telling the story of the New York's tech community from the birth of Silicon Alley in the '90s to today.
It explains why over the past few years the level of startup activity in the city has increased at an exponential rate, reaching and surpassing Boston in the number of tech companies formed and money invested, and challenging Silicon Valley's dominance. It also debates what New York is doing to set the foundations for further growth, and it's a guide about how to become part of this community for any professional, entrepreneur, student, researcher seeking to settle in the city.
