A little more than a year ago the Department of Education of New York started diversifying the multilingual offering in NYC Public Schools. Thanks for InItaliano's activism, Italian language was added to the DL choices of Manhattan public schools.
This expansion continues and this year a second Italian teacher has been added to the pool of teachers of PS242. Furthermore, a brand new "Early Immersion Program" has been introduced at PS132 in Brooklyn, in addition to the Italian DL of PS112 which is now being offered from PreK to 3rd grade and which will continue its expansion.
