The Italian Program at the University of Pittsburgh (part of the Department of French & Italian) invites applications to their Master's Program in Italian. Founded in 1968, the MA in Italian at Pitt offers a comprehensive and rigorous introduction to graduate study in the field of italianistica and a cutting-edge preparation in the post-secondary teaching of Italian.
A limited number of Teaching Assistantships, which carry full tuition remission, generous health-care coverage, and a competitive academic-year stipend, are available for the AY 2016-17 application cycle (August 2016 start). Complete applications—including TOEFL scores for international students—submitted by February 1, 2016 will be given fullest consideration for admission and Teaching Assistantship support; no applications will be considered after March 31, 2016.
