The Italian-American Association of the Township of Ocean (IAATO) awarded 16 scholarships to high school students during a ceremony on June 12. Scholarships are awarded in four categories. Scholarships for students who excelled for four years in the Italian Studies program at Ocean Township High School were awarded to Kim Alexis Kallok, Max Lerner and Nicholas Marchetti.

The Honorable John C. Manna Continuing Education Scholarship for a high school student who excelled in an Italian Studies program other than at Ocean Township High School was awarded to Shirley Moreno, Long Branch High School.
