The Department of German and Romance Languages and Literatures at Johns Hopkins University (http://grll.jhu.edu) seeks to fill the position of Assistant Professor of Italian Studies, tenure track. The preferred primary field will be modern Italian literature and/or cinema, with secondary interest's related fields such as media studies or comparative literature. The successful application will have a proven track record of research and teaching. Moreover, the search committee is committed to hiring candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.

Requirements: PhD in Italian, comparative literature, or related field, evidence of excellent teaching and scholarly potential, native or near native fluency in Italian and English.
