Peter Secchia and Mike Jandernoa will be this year's honorees when the Economic Club of Grand Rapids gathers for its annual dinner May 29, headlined by former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley. “We are pleased to recognize and honor two extraordinary individuals at our annual dinner event this year,’’ said Lorna Schultz, executive director of the Economic Club of Grand Rapids.
Secchia, who served as U.S. Ambassador to Italy from 1989 to 1993, is the former CEO and Chairman of the Board at Universal Forest Products, Inc. He will receive the Slykhouse Community Leadership Award at the 32nd annual dinner at DeVos Place. Jandernoa, former CEO and Chairman of the Board of the Perrigo Company, is the founder of Jandernoa Entrepreneurial Mentoring and co-founder of Bridge Street Capital Partner. He will receive the Business Person of the Year Award.
