A foreign guest made a special visit to the University of Virginia Wednesday. Armando Varricchio, Italy’s ambassador to the United States, spoke to students about challenges and opportunities in Europe and here at home. The UVA Center for Politics hosts ambassadors from all over the world in an effort to bridge the gap between U.S. college students and other countries.
Varricchio is the 10th ambassador to make a trip to UVA Grounds. Wednesday, October 24, he spoke to students and faculty members in the UVA Rotunda Dome Room. The ambassador talked about the connections between the university and Europe, specifically Thomas Jefferson's ties to the continent.
