Celebrating Italian culture in northern Nevada

A little taste of Italy is making its way back to the Biggest Little City. "One Italian family would buy the grapes and bring them over and everybody down the street would purchase the grapes from them, make their own wines and different things like that," says John Aramini, a sauce cooker in this year's event. "So it's a very unique area right here that they considered Little Italy."

The Aramini Family moved to "Little Italy" in 1954 where they continued to share their Italian traditions with the community. Aramini says, "As you saw by the street pole it had the Italian flag colors on it, all the houses had small little houses in the back to help house other families who came over, everybody had gardens."
