Italy’s passion for food finds a common ground in America, where consumers are looking for new authentic products, buyer Debbie Jones said in this interview with Italianfood.net at IDDBA 2018 trade show. Jones, who represents Pavilions, the premium specialty grocery banner of US food retail group Albertsons, explains in an interview what she is looking for when it comes to Italian foods.
From charcuterie to sauces and condiments, Jones says she is excitedabout the incredible variety of regional products from Italy arriving in the United States. Speaking on the sidelines for the IDDBA show in New Orleans, Jones calls for American retailers to educate consumers to explore new taste and ingredients.
