Italian Festival kicks off weekend of fun, food and culture at Market Common

For the 21st year in a row, the Italian Festival kicked off Saturday at Market Common.
The festival runs until eight p.m. Saturday and features a heritage booth, kids entertainment, crafts vendors and, of course, lots of food.
Some of the items on the menu include pizza, sausage, meatball sandwiches and pasta. Organizers explained that the event is also about introducing Italian-Americans and non-Italian Americans to the country's amazing culture.
