The program will feature Aldo Bianchi, a world renowned tenor born in Taranto, and his group l'Ensemble Lehàr as they perform a collection of classical Neapolitan songs and famous arias. This genre, which showcases whimsical and romantic songs, sung in the Neapolitan dialect often by male tenors, has remained popular since the 1830s, as you can hear the rich timbres and tradition of Southern Italy in them.
Meet the artist at a reception following the performance. Must register in advance and prepay. Members $20, Non-Members $25
