Please join Italian born, registered dietitian, Fiorella DiCarlo for an evening of Italian Christmas Food Traditions at the Italian American Museum on Thursday, December 8 at 6:30PM. Fiorella will explore the customs and food traditions of Southern Italy. She will detail the origins of La Vigilia: The Feast of the Seven Fishes and the foods of Natale! She will recount cooking with her family, the importance of the Presepio, Babbo Natale and the Lore of La Befana (The Christmas Witch) and the songs and games they played- like Tombola!

As a Dietitian, she will also explain the innate benefits of eating Italian style and how to make this Christmas healthy and delicious. It will be a night filled with great stories, raffle items, and a tasting menu with wine pairings from our friends at Eattiamo, L'Art Del Gelato, Urbani Truffles, M'O Gelato, Colavita, Rao's Specialty Foods, Pallini Limoncello, and Wineries of Italy Consortium! For reservations please call the Museum at 212.965.9000, send an email to [email protected] or fax 347.810.1028. Light refreshments will be served. Suggested donation of $10 per person.
