The Cultural Italian American Organization announces it will honor His Excellency Bishop Salvatore Matano, the ninth bishop of the Rochester Diocese, at its second annual Christopher Columbus Testimonial Dinner. The bishop is also the first Italian-American bishop in the history of the Rochester Diocese.
The testimonial dinner is set to take place from beginning with cocktails at 5:30 p.m., followed at 6:30 p.m. by a five-course dinner on Sunday, Oct. 11 at the Springside Inn, 6141 W. Lake Road, Fleming. Tickets Cost $40 and are available at Paul's Barber Shop, 7251 Owasco St., Auburn, and at Tesoro's Apparel, 284 Genesee St., Auburn. For more information, call (315) 252-8259.
