Niagara Falls is a city of immigrants and — relatively speaking — most of us have not been here for very long. The search for our roots has become much easier thanks to the Internet and modern technology. The world is suddenly quite small. There are databases and DNA tests.

We can reach across the oceans — and into the old family village. We can have daily conversations with our great grandparents' brothers' and sisters' great grandchildren via Facebook or other social media. And we can write and self-publish books ... which is exactly what we have been doing at the Lewiston Public Library since 2013.
