The City of Shelton’s Annual Shelton Day will be held on Sunday, Oct. 7. This year the Council of Italian-American Societies of Greater Bridgeport will hold their 110th Annual Columbus Day Parade on Howe Avenue in Shelton and it will coincide with the Shelton Day Festivities.
The parade will step off at 12 noon from Brook Street and Howe Avenue (Route 110) and proceed southbound on Howe Avenue (through the Center Business District) taking a left onto Cornell Street and proceeding right on Canal Street, ending at the Riverwalk-Veterans Park, which is the site of the enlarged Shelton Day celebration and festivities. It is a good idea to arrive 45 minutes before the parade starts due to road closures.
