Beppe Gambetta, an Italian musician known for his mastery of both American roots music as well as the music of his native country, opens the spring series of the Music in the Gallery concerts on Friday, March 10, 7:30 p.m., in the James Arnold Mansion, owned by the Wamsutta Club, 427 County St.
Tickets are $20 in advance online and $25 at the door. Music in the Gallery is presented by the music directors of the New Bedford Folk Festival. Concerts are open to the public. Gambetta is known as one of the "true innovators" of the acoustic guitar, according to a news release. A native of Genoa, Italy, Gambetta is in love with both American roots music as well as the music of his native country.
