This year, the Mount Carmel Italian Festival will be entering its 91st year. Despite the festival being 91 years old, it still has plenty of new festivities to offer people, including the largest collection of Dean Martin memorabilia – which is a special addition to the festival this year. "[The goal of the festival] is to carry on a culture of Italian culture," said the Mount Carmel President Carl Sferrazza, "[which] is centered in family, friends, [and] our faith in God."

The Mount Carmel Italian Festival starts on Thursday, Aug. 4 with a candlelight procession that starts at 8:30 p.m. at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society Chapel. It is free and open to the public. The procession will, additionally, include complimentary pastries and coffee. The rest of the festival will take place from Friday, Aug. 5 to Sunday, Aug. 7 from 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 5 to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Each night will feature different entertainment.
