Walker Art Center - “Arte Povera” Exhibition Tour for Italian Speakers

In collaboration with the Walker Art Center, we offer a rare opportunity to experience Italian contemporary art here in Minneapolis. The on-going exhibition, "Art at the Center: 75 Years of Walker Collection", which celebrates the 75 years of the institution gathers a number of works of art by Italian artists belonging to the influential movement known as "Arte Povera".

The Arte Povera movement developed during the second half of 1960's between the end of Italian economical resurgence after World War II and the rise of worker/student insurrections. This movement is widely recognized for the richness of its ideas and its ability to influence new generations of artists. The art magazine, Frieze defines Arte Povera as "organic, industrial, bio-chemical, in flux, phenomenological, presentational and non-representational, almost devoid of color and implicitly anti-consumerist".
