The Racine Heritage Museum is featuring an Alfonso Iannelli exhibit from Dec.1 to Oct. 31 called “Blessings to Blenders.” It is showcasing the works of 20th century Italian-American designer, architect, and sculptor Alfonso Iannelli (1888-1965).
Some of Iannelli’s works include many sculptures, product designs for advertising, and works based on a liturgy. The collection of works on display include charcoal studies for the stained-glass windows at St. Patrick’s Church, marketing materials and products for Oster Manufacturing, and advertising for Horlick Malted Milk Co. Also, Iannelli was hired by famous designer Frank Lloyd Wright to create sculptures for a Midway Gardens project in Chicago.
