Little Italy, alas, no longer has a resident movie house (the New Mayfield repertory was the nearest thing), but the Strosacker Auditorium of Case Western-Reserve University has graciously filled in as the local villa for the touring Italian Film Festival USA.

It’s a selection of the best of contemporary Italian movies, sometimes even accompanied by the filmmakers themselves‚ as is the case with Alessia Scarso, helmer of Italo, the fact-based story of a stray dog in Sicily. Other programs include a selection of short subjects, comedies and documentaries.
