The Italian Catholic Federation’s Our Lady Mother of the Church Branch #439 will host its sixth annual dinner dance on Oct. 8 at Alta Villa Banquets in Addison. The event will raise funds to benefit Maria Vouga and her family, and honor Rocco and Rosanna DeFrenza. (847-341-1847)
Maria was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an autoimmune disorder affecting the central nervous system. The disease has taken such a toll that she is now confined to a wheelchair and her husband, Eric, has become her sole healthcare provider.
