The Italian spirit is on full display in Fitchburg this weekend at the annual Festa Italia. It's hosted by the Italian Workmen's Club. People enjoyed cultural exhibits and traditional Italian foods. The money raised at the festival will go to local high school students who are heading to college.
"A significant portion of the profits that we make from this festival goes towards scholarships for high school kids," said event organizer, Dace Rizzo. "In fact just about an hour and a half ago, we awarded scholarships to both the men's club and the women's club to deserving high school grads who are going on to either a four year or a two year trade school education."
