Dear Friends and members, just a reminder. The 2015 Columbus Day Parade is right around the corner.
We will be celebrating this national legal holiday on Monday, October 12 with a spectacular parade beginning a 12:30 on State Street at Wacker, Chicago. For those of you who can not attend, our good friends at ABC channel 7 will stream the parade live nationally and internationally.
The parade will be filled with wonderful floats, beautiful music, handsome men, gorgeous women and a host of new younger generations of Italian Americans eager to share their heritage and the contributions of their forefathers with our brothers and sisters of other ethnicities that make up this great land called America. We invite you to celebrate the wondrous feat of the bold navigator Christopher Columbus. Make it a Columbus Day weekend. Come on down on Friday and stay until Monday's parade concludes.
Enjoy the fine dining of the splendid Italian restaurants in our city for the weekend. Call the Foundation at 773 276 7800 for the names of hotels offering Columbus Day weekend rates.
Bring your folding chairs and line up on State St to witness a wonderful afternoon of music, culture and friendship. AS USUAL, EVERONE IS WELCOME AT OUR TABLE AND EVERYONE IS WELCOME AT OUR PARADE.
