By providing decades of rich history, food and culture wise, West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival kicked off it’s 30th straight year of the annual pasta cook-off. From chefs, to tasters and even little helpers – people from all over the state came together Saturday morning to enjoy a great pasta meal.
“You know, we get 7 to 800 people here today and I understand that we have five or six cooks doing about seven or eight, maybe even nine different sauces. It's a lot of fun”. 10 secs said Clarksburg Vice Mayor Jim Malfregeot. One of first board members of the festival Rosalyn Queen, spoke on how the family-like love that filled the air of Jackson Square has always been their since day one of the first event in 1988.
