UNICO's Delmarva Chapter held a meeting Oct. 13 at Salumeria e Ristorante Touch of Italy on Highway One in Rehoboth Beach to discuss the year's events. The Annual Bocce Tournament scheduled for Oct. 3 had to be cancelled due to inclement weather and will be re-scheduled for April or May. President David Jones and District Governor Maria Teresa Morrison discussed with members the Brian Piccolo Award Program.
Members volunteered gift certificates and gift baskets to be raffled at the award dinner. This event, open to the public, is sponsored by UNICO Delaware District 1 and is therefore supported by both the Delmarva and the Rehoboth Area chapters. The Delaware Commission on Italian Heritage and Culture, which supports many events for the Italian American Community throughout the state, is also a major sponsor of the annual Brian Piccolo Award Dinner.
