Gravy or Sauce? That was the question of the day at Rachael Ray's "Everyone is Italian on Sunday" book signing hosted by Bookends, in conjunction with the YWCA and YMCA, at the Oak Street facility. "Both and neither," was Ray's response which confused audience members but opened up an extensive discussion on Ray's take on Italian cooking.
Having grown up in a large extended Sicilian family, the Food Network star attributes her passion for food and all things Italian to her childhood experience. Her grandfather, an Italian immigrant, moved his family to upstate New York settling in an unpretentious home on a tiny peninsula on Lake George.
