2015 Grand Marshal: Vincent Micco is the grand marshal of this year's Columbus Day parade. Vincent Micco served two yearlong tours of duty in Iraq conducting intelligence operations with the U.S. Army. In his most recent deployment he led a counterintelligence team of special agents covering the entire southern portion of Iraq, which sought to detect, identify, exploit and neutralize terrorist networks including Al Qaeda in Iraq, and Jaysh al-Mahdi (The Mahdi Army), led by Moqtada Al-Sadr.
In his previous tour he was stationed throughout the areas commonly referred to as the "Sunni Triangle" including Baghdad, Tikrit and Al Asad focused on intelligence collection. He is the recipient of the Combat Action Badge, two Army Commendation Medals and the Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal. He is currently a chief warrant officer-2 and also serves as an Italian linguist, certified by the Department of Defense.
