Lido Civic Club to Honor Ron Vitiello, Chief U.S. Border Patrol

The Lido Civic Club of Washington, D.C. is pleased to announce that it has selected Ron Vitiello, Chief of U.S. Border Patrol within the Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection, to receive its 2017 Public Service Award. This award will be presented at the annual Lido Past Presidents Night Gala on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Bethesda Golf and Country Club.

“We are delighted that on this, the 88th Anniversary of the founding of the Lido Civic Club, we are honoring an outstanding American of Italian descent who, as a public servant, has faithfully served our country for many years and risen to the top of the largest law enforcement agency”, said Tom Regnante, President of the Lido Civic Club. Ron Vitiello joined the U.S. Border Patrol in 1985 and began service in Laredo, Texas. He has held various leadership positions and was appointed Deputy Chief in 2010. He became Chief in January of this year.
