The Matawan Italian American Association hosted a reception at its clubhouse at 1374 Route 36 in Hazlet to present two $1,000 scholarships to Nicolas George Augusto and Justin Delaney. Augusto is a graduate of St. Augustine College Preparatory High School in Richland. He plans to attend college and pursue a career in business management.

He is the grandson of current club members, Dominic and Marie Tropea. Delaney is a graduate of Red Bank Regional High School. He will attend Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, where he will pursue studies for a career in business management. He is the grandson of club member Victor Castellano.
