Every year, the Mount Carmel Society here hosts the Feast of Mount Carmel, complete with a carnival, multiple fireworks events and a procession on the feast day, July 16.

The fairgrounds are on Springfield Avenue, at River Road. There are rides, traditional fair food and carnival games and entertainment by local groups.
