On April 13, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. members of FIL left So. Orange County on the way to the California Science Center in Los Angeles stopping at a No. Orange County location to "pick up" other FIL members. Chairlady Venus Franceschi gave each person a leaflet explaining the function and capabilities of the "Shuttle Endeavor".
Upon arrival at the Science Center we were warmly greeted and were given the necessary documentation to first see the one hour presentation in IMAX showing every detail of the trip into space by the HUGE TELESCOPE "Hubble". It was as if we were traveling "in space". What an incredible feeling.
We were later escorted to see the actual Space Shuttle "Endeavor". Words cannot justly express the grandeur of this aircraft. It definitely is a "Must See" by every American. After seeing the Endeavor and a short lecture given by a Docent, the group had free time to have lunch at the large FOOD COURT that had a variety of food choices.
