ICC is proud to present a special evening with Dr. Luisa Del Giudice presenting on
"The Extraordinary Watts Towers".

The extraordinary Watts Towers were created over the course of 3 decades by a single-minded artist-artisan, Sabato (Simon, Sam) Rodia, an Italian immigrant who wanted to do "something big."
The Watts Towers, listed on the National Register of Historic Places are a National Historic Landmark, a State of California Historic Park and Historic-Cultural Monument No. 15, as designated by the City of Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Commission.

Dr. Luisa Del Giudice, an Independent Scholar, has taught at UCLA and Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. She is the Founder and former Director of the Italian Oral History Institute. Dr. Del Giudice has published and lectured widely on Italian, Italian American, and Italian Canadian folk life, ethnology, oral history. She lives in Los Angeles, where she has produced many public programs related to her research and writings.
