The Nuovo Cinema Italiano Film Festival may still be six months away (Nov. 6-9), but the annual four-day festival salute to Italian cinema hosts a fundraiser to give us a preview of what to expect on Thurs. May 8. for La Grande Bellezza.
The event — an evening of food and film — takes its name from the 2014 Oscar Best Foreign Language Film-winner La Grande Bellezza (The Great Beauty), which, not surprisingly, will be shown when the party takes over College of Charleston's School of Science and Mathematics (202 Calhoun St.).
