Cirque Italia has found a permanent home in Palmetto, following approval at a Manatee County land-use meeting on Thursday. The meeting also included major items like plans for a new State College of Florida campus and the creation of a new improvement district in Parrish.
County commissioners gave Cirque Italia the green light to build a new permanent home in north Palmetto at the former Fun City Go Kart site. The Sarasota-based company produces circus acts with various themes and has hosted its "Paranormal Cirque" show in the city at a site just south of the Bradenton Area Convention Center near Riviera Dunes.
