With Rapsodia Italiana, pianist Alessandra Garosi returns to Casa Italiana to perform and present music for solo piano written by various female composers active in Italy during the 20th century. The styles of these composers range from post-Romanticism to polytonality, from twelve-tone technique to minimalism. The performance will be accompanied by brief introductions on the life and historical background of the composers.
