Competitors from the Highwood Bocce Club (HBC) joined more than 60 of the best bocce players in the country in St. Louis, Mo., November 1-7, 2021, to compete in the 2021 United States Bocce Championship and 14th Annual Aldo Della Croce Bocce Tournament, held at the Italia-America Bocce Club.
Highwood had an impressive medal haul with 3 silver and 3 bronze: Miles Russell (silver medal) in men's singles, Maurizio Perrelli and Miles Russell (silver medal) in men's doubles, Amy Lazzaretti and Lauren McDermott (Bronze medal) in women's doubles, and Miles Russell (silver medal) and Vito Buonsante (bronze medal) in men's precision shooting and Lauren McDermott (bronze medal) in women's precision shooting.
