For 57 years, Soprano’s Italian Market and Bakery has offered its customers a taste of Waverly. Recently, the business received a New York Forward grant to make infrastructure upgrades. New York Secretary of State Walter Mosley visited the restaurant Friday for the occasion.
“727,000 came here to Soprano’s Market,” Mosley said. “And I think it was money well spent.”Since 1969, Soprano’s Italian cuisine and sweet treats have been a staple for those in the area. But owner Margaret Soprano said in recent years, the building had begun to show its age.
