UNICO National – Hazleton Chapter has awarded four scholarships to outstanding area graduates. The scholarship committee accepted numerous applications, which were then graded by three independent judges. Each application was assigned a number, with names redacted for impartiality. The successful recipients received $1,500 each to aid in their higher education costs.
The successful candidates for 2026 are: Margaret Zeiler received the Frank J. Ciampi Memorial Scholarship. She is a 2026 graduate of Marian Catholic High School and will attend Lebanon Valley College to major in nursing. Alena Lombardo received the Joseph D. Cerullo Memorial Scholarship. She is a 2026 graduate of Marian Catholic High School and will attend Millersville University to major in biology with a focus on Animal Behavior.
