Travelers looking to build a culture-packed rail trip through northern Italy have an intriguing route to consider: the Frecciarossa 9759, an evening train that stops near eight UNESCO World Heritage sites.

The Frecciarossa 9759 leaves Torino Porta Nuova station in Turin and makes its way east, skirting the base of the Dolomites before reaching the historic port city of Trieste near the border with Slovenia. Along the way, it stops in 12 of Northern Italy’s most significant cultural cities, including Milan, Verona, and Padua.
