There is a lot of goodness in nettle!

By: Giulia Franceschini

Nettle, often referred to by its scientific name, urtica dioica, is a perennial flowering plant native to many parts of the world, including Europe. Known for its distinctive, stinging hairs on its leaves and stems, nettle has been used in herbal medicine, cooking, and even textile production due to its versatile properties.

Indeed, nettle has been valued since ancient times not only for its culinary uses but also for its therapeutic qualities: traditionally harvested before late spring, it was commonly used in medicaments, particularly for treating conditions like rheumatism and, more in general, inflammation.
