The IIC-NY Presents “Renaissance to Runway: The Enduring Italian Houses”

By: Anna Capelli

The Italian Cultural Institute on Park Avenue and 68th Street is also participating in New York Fashion Week with the presentation of the exhibition, Renaissance to Runway: The Enduring Italian Houses, on display from November 9 to February 1, 2026, at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Curator Darnell-Jamal Lisby will also be present.

The exhibition explores the link between Italian Renaissance art and contemporary fashion, bringing timeless elegance and modern excellence into dialogue with Buccellati jewelry. An ancient Milanese goldsmith’s house, founded in 1919, it is considered one of the world’s most renowned high jewelry brands for its detailed production and craftsmanship, with precise and expert engraving techniques that create complex textures and surfaces similar to precious fabrics.
