The Italian Navy frigate Alpino will call in New York from March 3 to 8, after participating in the 2026 C2X (Composite Training Unit Exercise) training campaign with the United States Navy.
The Italian Consulate General in New York announced the news, noting that the ship, a Bergamini-class anti-submarine frigate characterized by high flexibility, multi-role capabilities, and state-of-the-art anti-submarine technology, has achieved interoperability certification to operate as an escort vessel in the USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier group.
