Members of the Summerville Italian Feast (NC) board present a $42,000 check to the Dorchester District Two Educational Foundation during a recent Dorchester School District Two Board of Trustees meeting.
The donation, announced as a record amount for the annual event, will support educational initiatives for DD2 students and teachers. Organizers said the funds were raised despite the festival being rescheduled due to rain, crediting strong community support, sponsors and performances by Dorchester District Two Fine Arts students.
